Locate Source of Escape Water
Reason for Attendance/Discussion
A trace and access investigation was required to locate the source of an escape of water from within the property boundary. Anglian water reported a loss of 9 litres per hour following a site visit.
Works carried out/Conclusion
Upon arrival at the property a tracer gas was used to locate the source of the escape of water. Visual signs were immediately identified within the public footpath following introduction of the gas, An acoustic survey was carried out along the perceived route of the incoming mains pipework to confirm our findings.
Recommendations
As the issue is within the public footpath we were unable to effect repairs at the time of finding due to the need to procure permits. The suspected area was marked then the water board notified.
