Staining on kitchen ceiling

On arrival a visual inspection of the property was conducted and the staining to the ceiling confirmed. Directly above the stain was the bathroom. On inspection of the bathroom an access panel was open in the bath panel. An endoscopic camera was used to check under the bath all ok . The bath and basin were operated and the endoscopic camera was used to look in the void between floors to check the waste pipes. This showed that the waste pipe from the basin had failed and was no longer connected.A small access hole was made in the kitchen ceiling directly below the waste. This was reconnected and retested. On retesting it was found that the tee from the bath waste had also failed and was dripping. This was replaced by an on site plumber and the wastes retested again. This time NO escape of water was observed. The pipe work was secured and now all ok
